I am the mother of 5 children, with the last two being boy/girl twins. When they were born, I never let them wear the Raggedy Ann and Andy sets of clothes people always wanted to bring over for them to wear and match. I always wanted them to be their own people. Next year, they will be going to Kindergarten, and they will be separated. It will be difficult for them at first because they have been together all of their lives.
A couple months ago, Kylee was invited to a girly birthday party, and Tyler wasn't invited. Tyler wanted to know when the birthday party was, and I told him that only Kylee was invited to the party because it was only for girls. He looked at me with an odd face and said, "But we're twins!" I think they will be better for the separation.
