By Janie Glover

I am 34 and a fraternal twin. My twin sister and I couldn't be more different! I am 5 feet, 1 inch, with blonde hair, fair skin and blue eyes. My twin sister is 5 feet, 4 inches, with brown hair, olive skin and brown eyes. She looks like my mom, older sister and older brother, while I look like my dad.

Growing up, we hated each other most of the time. I was Daddy's girl, and my sister was Mommy's girl. If I cried, Dad would have to tend to me, and if she cried, Mommy would get her. We could do some of the things that identical twins could pull, such as impersonating one another--but we had to do it via phone since we don't look anything alike!

Fortunately, we have grown much closer over the years. She and I live 30 minutes from each other now, and we talk every day. Finally, I appreciate being a twin!
