Being married for three years and trying to have a child for the three years, we almost gave up. It was January 7th of 2008 that we found out we were having A baby. Went to my 1st doctor's appointment and they stated that I was already 11 weeks along. I told them there is no way -- I am way too big to only be 11 weeks! She told me to hop up on the table and let's see what is going on. Here comes the camera, and she said, "Well, that could be the reason you are so big: TWINS!" I told her to check the camera, and then the words, "Oh s--t" came out. I was happy and scared at the same time. Here I am 33 years young and my first baby are twins. On top of that, the doctor told me they will be identical because they looked like they are in the same sac.
Well, they were born at 31 weeks due to my little Samantha's heart not doing too well. My Eva was born at 3 lbs 7oz and little Samantha was 2lbs 11oz -- in the NICU for 2 months and on heart monitors for a year. Today they are 39 inches tall, 36 pounds and wear a size 9 shoe at 3 years old. They are fighters and go-getters.
i told this story because if there are any mothers out there who are worried about preemie babies, keep your head up and trust me -- your baby knows when they have strong parents.
