Yes, I know I'm a little late in wishing you a Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed your holidays and are staying warm in this cold spell that seems to have most of us in its grip (including those of us in South Florida!). To celebrate the New Year, we have new Multiples of the Month, a new feature on TwinsTalk, and a new giveaway! Read on...
Multiples of the Month
Congratulations to Devon and Shilah, our new Multiples of the Month! Their adorable picture will be gracing the TwinsTalk home page for a while, and their lucky mom Stefani will receive a book of her choice from the TwinsShop! Now's the time to submit a holiday picture of your twins to be entered into the next drawing!
A New Year, a New Look for TwinsTalk!
We've made a few minor changes to the TwinsTalk site. Most noticeably, I'd like to host more reviews and giveaways, so now there's a special section on the site that's devoted to them. If you have a family-friendly product that's especially appealing to families with multiples, please contact me at susan [at] twinstalk [dot] com to arrange a review and/or giveaway. Feel free to write your own book reviews, too!
Enter to Win "One and the Same," a Fascinating Book About Identical Twins
There's a brand-new giveaway on TwinsTalk for a copy of the book, One and the Same: My Life as an Identical Twin and What I've Learned About Everyone's Struggle to Be Singular, by Abigail Pogrebin. I just finished reading it, and I absolutely loved it. The author is a professional journalist and writer, as well as an identical twin! One and the Same is filled with interviews and information about what it's like to be an identical twin. This is a must-read for anyone with twins in the family, or even those who are just fascinated by the topics of multiples, genetics, nature vs nurture, and more. Just click HERE to read the full review and/or enter the giveaway. (Deadline: January 31, 2010)
TwinsTalk Is on Facebook
Have you joined our Facebook page yet? If you're on Facebook, I hope you'll visit us there and become a fan. The URL is http://www.facebook.com/pages/TwinsTalk/92832936823.
We Need You!
Finally, TwinsTalk is all about sharing our experiences as parents of twins and multiples. I hope you'll consider submitting a story, article or tips about raising twins to TwinsTalk. You don't have to be an expert writer to contribute, and we welcome contributions of any length. I get a lot of questions from parents about sleep issues, twin pregnancy, sibling rivalry, and more, so any advice on those topics is always welcome. But you can write about whatever you'd like to share! Just submit through the site or directly to me at susan [at] twinstalk [dot] com.
