Dear TwinsTalk Members,

Spring is here! Well...almost. Just this morning, I was thinking about how warm it's been here in south Florida and contemplating putting away all of the kids' "winter clothes." (For us in Florida, that just means anything with long sleeves or pant legs.) But then my husband told me that the temperature is supposed to dip down into the 30s in the next few days! It just goes to show that anything can happen weather-wise in April! So, whether you're experiencing spring weather or still stuck in winter's grip, have faith that summer will soon be here.

April Is National Multiple Birth Awareness Month

The National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc. (www.nomotc.org) has declared April 2009 the first National Multiple Birth Awareness Month. Click through to this article, which will tell how you or your multiples group can help spread awareness of the needs of families with twins and multiples.

More Opportunities to Win Chicken Soup for the Soul: Twins and More

In honor of National Multiple Birth Awareness Month, I will be giving away four copies of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Twins and More. How can you enter to win? Just submit something to the Articles, TwinsTales or TwinsTips sections of TwinsTalk during the month of April. Four times throughout the month, I will randomly pick a winner from among the submissions received in April. What should you write about? Tell a cute story involving your twins, or share a good time- or money-saving tip that has helped your family, or write a book review about your favorite twins book! Just about anything goes, as long as it's of interest to families with multiples.

Book Review: Two Snowflakes, by Jennifer Miller

If you're looking for a new children's book for your twins, you'll love Two Snowflakes. This is a charming children's book about identical twin snowflakes, Phina and Bella, who appear to be exactly alike, but aren't quite the same when you get to know them...just like real twins! The twin snowflakes like being twins because they always have each other, but they also get tired of being seen as exactly the same when they like to do different things. At the end of the story, they meet up with real twin girls and melt on their tongues to be with them forever! Visit www.twosnowflakes.net to read more about it.
