Well my first pregnancy was twins-identical and i one day want more kids but... alot of people in my family have more than one multipule, once thay already have one set.And the twins are all years apart or close in age, what should i do?? i dont think i will ever be ready to jump from 2 babies to 4?

Second set of twins
One thing that you have going for you is that identical twins are not an inherited thing, so they don't increase your chances of having twins again. However, if there are a lot of fraternal twins in your family, it could up your chances. My advice is to wait to get pregnant again until your twins are in elementary school. That way, at least it will be easier if you have a second set of twins!

I have identical twin girls!
twins after twins
I have a singleton 3 1/2 year old boy and 1 year old identical twin girls. My husband and I would someday want one more (after the twins are grown of course) but it's scary that there may be a possibility that we could have twins again.
Like you said, identical twins doesn't have a hereditary, but I was told that now my chances of having another twins is slightly more than the average person since I've already had one. Anyone heard of this? Scary!!!
thank you
i wanted to thank you on your advice. i had a real problem knowing if i could handle having 2 sets of twin all under the age of 5. you see my great grandmother had 2 sets of twin and my uncle had a set of twins- identical, my aunt had a set untill one passed away. and my other uncle has 2 sets and the list goes on but the weird thing was i wasnt suppose to have twins my children are suppose to. so that made me wounder, because its every other generation has twins. but yah thanks for the advice it really helped because i dont know what i would do if i had 4 babies all under the age of 5.
The Every Other Generation Myth
It's a myth that twins are supposed to appear every other generation. Sometimes they occur in every generation; other times they just occur randomly through various generations. But I agree with you that having four babies under the age of 5 would be extremely challenging! I'd still recommend waiting, if possible, so you have the time and energy to really enjoy all your children!

Multiple Babies
Yes every-other-generation twins are a myth. One thing I learned though is that the total time a woman breastfeeds can influence her chances of multiples. I breastfed both of my first children, the second exclusively. Then when number two was eight months old...I discovered I was expecting twins! Three under the age of 2!! It was hard, it is certainly memorable!
multiple babies
I had twin girls and twins run in my family they have never skipped a generation but all the twins have been boys until me. I had 4 children then I got pregnant with the twins we planned this pregnancy in hopes to have another girl so my daughter would have a sister instead of all brothers to play with, so we got blessed with twin girls now my twins just turned a year old in July. I have a son who just turned age 3 and daughter who just turned 2 and my twins that just turned 1 and it is a handful thank goodness my other 2 sons are 6 and 9 so they can help out
